Introduction: The Vision Behind 38 Exhibit
The 38 Exhibit was more than just an art exhibition—it was a statement. Hosted at STACKT Market in Toronto, this groundbreaking event celebrated art, culture, and creativity, bringing together emerging artists, designers, and creatives in one immersive experience. For 38, this exhibit was a milestone, marking the collective’s first major event as a team and solidifying its mission to elevate the creative community in Toronto.
The Journey to STACKT Market
Founded by Misan in 2020, 38 began as a personal journey in Lagos, Nigeria, where he designed custom pieces during the lockdown. After relocating to Canada in 2021 and selling his work in Vancouver in 2022, 38 officially evolved into a team in 2024. The 38Exhibit at STACKT Market was the first major showcase of this collective, setting the stage for future artistic collaborations and community-driven events.
What Made the 38Exhibit Special?
The exhibit wasn’t just about showcasing art—it was about creating an experience that blurred the lines between fashion, fine art, music, and culture. Some highlights of the event included:
Visual Art Installations: Featuring works from some of Toronto’s most innovative artists.
Live Music and Performances: Infusing the space with energy, creativity, and expression.
Hand-Painted Custom Pieces: A core part of 38’s identity, merging wearable art with gallery-worthy design.
Interactive Spaces: Encouraging attendees to engage with the art and connect with artists.

Featured Artists
A major part of the exhibit was celebrating local talent, and two standout artists were:
Artistnile – Known for pushing artistic boundaries with bold, thought-provoking pieces.
Burkencrocs – Famous for her caricature-style artwork, which captivated audiences at the event.
These artists, alongside other creatives, transformed STACKT Market into an interactive, multi-sensory space that left a lasting impact on Toronto’s creative scene.

The 38Scavenger Hunt: A Prelude to the Exhibit
Before the 38 Exhibit, Misan and the team organized the 38 Scavenger Hunt, an innovative city-wide event designed to connect people through art, exploration, and discovery. The scavenger hunt introduced many to the world of 38, building excitement and anticipation for the exhibit at STACKT Market. The success of both events showed that 38 is not just about custom pieces—it’s about creating experiences that bring people together.
Why Events Like the 38 Exhibit Matter
The success of the 38 Exhibit proves that Toronto is hungry for creative spaces where artists can share their work and collaborate. Events like these:
Provide a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work.
Foster a sense of community within the creative industry.
Encourage the fusion of different artistic disciplines, from custom fashion to fine art and music.

What’s Next for 38?
The 38 Exhibit was just the beginning. Moving forward, 38 aims to:
Host more art-driven events that bring creatives together.
Expand collaborations with artists and designers, continuing to push boundaries.
Keep championing custom-painted pieces that redefine wearable art.
For those who attended the 38 Exhibit, it was more than just an event—it was an experience, a movement, and a glimpse into the future of creative expression in Toronto.
